SIEG Narcotics Team Built on Training and Cooperation Across Illinois
The Southern Illinois Enforcement Group formed in 1973 on a simple premise of cooperative case building against narcotics. Nine full time officers led by David Fitts coordinate with 13 area agencies from Carbondale to Williamson County, with towns paying a per capita fee to support operations and additional funding from the Byrne grant.
