New deep sea research vessel to reach 99 percent of ocean floor
The NSF funded project aims to replace Alvin with a new American submersible capable of reaching depths beyond 21,000 feet, carrying more instruments and improving communication and endurance. It will be built under Woods Hole supervision, launching around 2008 aboard the Atlantis, with costs near 21.6 million dollars and daily operating costs similar to current rates.

Link found between high carb intake and breast cancer risk
