Nordenia USA in Jackson, Missouri will interview Curwood Inc. employees in Murphysboro on August 14 to fill openings in quality assurance, R&D, sales, and production. The Bemis plant ends September, costing about 115 jobs, as Nordenia appeals to displaced workers with immediate positions and a mail or email application option.

Matthew Young, 24, of Mount Vernon, may be sent to prison after failing to meet probation conditions from a 2001 burglary plea. A hearing to revoke probation is set for 10:30 a.m. August 27 in Williamson County Circuit Court before Judge Phillip Palmer.
