Gernreich Keeps Shaking Fashion With Pants Emphasis
Designer Rudi Gernreich tops fall fashion by moving beyond skirts toward the pants look and tights. His knitwear features tunics over legs with spiral zippers and buttons. Crossed tape trims, shorts or bloomers, and bold color combinations push a era of avant garde silhouettes into mainstream, even as he blends Ariel knits and Costumes concepts.
