Bloom campaigns on chairmanship and anti regulation stance
Bloom touts his role as chair of the Joint Committee on Legislative Rules and the 26 member watchdog panel as proof of administrative skill. He opposes Health Finance Authority regulations and argues the 1978 law aimed to curb costs has instead raised hospital operating expenses. He defends his restraint from voting against the law’s intent and supports the lieutenant governor’s office as a full time, ready position.
