Ecumenical Peace Convocation Planned in Carbondale
An ecumenical convocation for peace and human survival is set for Sunday at Central Plaza Park Carbondale to mark the 33rd Hiroshima bombing anniversary. Area religious leaders will give brief statements and songs reflecting diverse traditions. Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church sponsors Women’s Day with a 11 a.m. service led by Wileta Brown a Murphysboro High School student and active 4-H member.
