Mr and Mrs Michael Murrie of Ventura announce the engagement of their daughter Sarah Eileen to Carlos Avila Anaya. Sarah is granddaughter of Clare Murrie of Anna. Carlos is son of Evangelina Starr of Las Vegas and Carlos G Anaya of Bakersfield. The bride is a 1996 Ventura High School graduate with a BA from Kansas City Art Institute in 2000 and an MA from Yale in 2002. The groom is a 1990 Buena High School and 1996 Cal State Northbridge graduate, a mortgage broker. An Aug 28 2004 wedding is planned at Our Lady of the Assumption in Ventura. They will reside in Simi Valley.
