Pinckneyville to Lead Southern Illinois At Ohio Event
Pinckneyville will become the first Southern Illinois team at the Ohio Illinois softball tournament joining top interstate squads. Archbishop Spaulding and North Laurel are among the Top 50 nationally ranked opponents, with North Laurel pitcher Becky Abner signing with Kentucky. Ashland and Indianapolis Cathedral also schedule to participate as Hale notes strong regional play and possible Division I talent. Hale, a 400-win veteran, secured the team’s spot after a delayed call following the September 11 disruption.
