Whitsons Aim for New Orleans Trip and 57th Anniversary
Bill and Ginny Whitson of Carbondale plan a June trip to New Orleans to see a World War II memorial brick bearing Bill’s name. They celebrate 57 years of marriage in December and reflect on a life of banking, community leadership, and travels since moving to Carbondale in 1966. Bill, a WWII veteran and former Bank of Carbondale president, received a surprise CBDC plaque and a proclamation naming “Bill Whitson Day” from Mayor Neil Dillard.
