Ten Old Ben No 25 miners in West Frankfort left their polling place after voting 7 to 3 against a union contract. They echoed national sentiment over non union coal while citing a $1.90 royalty to a UMW pension fund as a key sticking point. Several miners cited raises and benefits but feared non union coal bypassing unions.
