Pioneer Benjamin Shull Remembered in Coos County

Catholic School Burns Near Salem
Meent Angel College a large Catholic school east of Salem burned Tuesday causing an estimated loss near a million dollars. The fire started in the garage around midnight Monday destroying four buildings and all equipment. Four hundred forty three boys were at the school and many were expected to register Tuesday.

Cars Damaged In Highway Collision Near Myrtle Point

Harry Guerin Passes In Frisco Hospital
Harry Guerin died Sunday at Bane hospital San Francisco after illness spanning weeks. His funeral Thursday at the Presbyterian church Myrtle Point with burial in Denmark Cemetery. He was born February 7 1869 in Mauch Chunk Pa and moved to Curry county in 1876. He leaves a wife Filla R Bigelow three children Emma, Loren, and Jean, plus his mother Mrs. Priscilla Guerin and siblings. His remains were brought home Tuesday evening for burial with services officiated by Rev C C Hurt.
