Man Crushed by Log at Powers Camp Dies at 30

Robert D. Cook died at Mercy hospital North Bend after a log rolled over him at a Powers camp. The 30 year old from Bandon was injured in the afternoon and died a few hours after admission. Funeral held in Bandon with both parents named Mr and Mrs Frank Cook.

Obituary of Neva Mable Miller Lee of Myrtle Point

Neva Mable Miller Lee born October 3 1895 at Healy Kansas died October 15 1921 at Myrtle Point Oregon aged 26. She married Raymond Donald Lee May 15 1918 at Coquille Oregon and had two sons. Survived by husband son parents six sisters and five brothers all present at the service except one brother in Medford. Funeral at the chapel October 16 conducted by Rev Turner MacDonald with interment at Myrtle Point cemetery. Eastern Star aided services. Mrs Lee a Christian church member and beloved by many.

Giles underwent two operations at Hahnemann hospital San Francisco for infection in nasal passages and skull openings likely from water exposure during teaching at public baths. Four top coastal surgeons operated and he survived a period of danger and is now out of danger. Decrease in Taxes Reflects Rising Salaries

The school budget shows spending over ten thousand dollars more than four years ago largely due to salary increases that have nearly doubled. Taxes per millage are actually lower than four years ago, offset by state and county aid through the elementary tax.
