Station Additions at Southern Pacific Pageant of Repairs

A crew of carpenters works at the Southern Pacific station in this city to expand facilities. An extra thirty feet is added to the freight room and the office of Agent G L McKay will extend ten feet south. The freight expansion doubles capacity and a new 80 foot turn table will handle logging engines from Powers and those to Johnson's camp west of Myrtle Point.

Crescent City Harbor Improvement Backed by Regional Cities

Harbor project gains strong support from Crescent City and towns along the Southern Pacific line including Medford Ashland Grants Pass Gold Hill and others. A Rivers and Harbors Committee tour met Eureka citizens and heard speeches from local leaders and from Portland and San Francisco. Floral Creek Man Dies in North Bend

Peter Roos long-time Myrtle Point resident dies at Keizer hospital North Bend after a week of illness. Funeral at Schroeder chapel conducted by Rev. Omer Idso, burial in Myrtle Point cemetery. Born April 6 1863 in Ellen Germany he emigrated to the United States and married Lena Ebel in 1897 in South Bend Indiana. He leaves a son Leonard and a step-daughter Minnie Cupinski.

The first PTA meeting of the year in Myrtle Point drew a crowded seventh grade room as President Mrs. A. C. Chase led a brief session. Dues rose from 25 to 50 cents a year to fund broader activities with about 50 members signing up. A short program followed with songs by younger students and booster songs by the boys’ glee club.

Trio Held On Charge Of Delinquency In Coquille

Lester Norton Mrs Frankie Morgan and J Russell Morgan are jailed in Coquille on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a 14 year old Myrtle Point girl. The woman is nineteen and her husband is in Salem prison on a similar charge. A statutory charge will be filed against Shoemaker.
