Truck Turned Over In Myrtle Point Collision
A Ford state highway truck loaded with heavy castings turned onto the sidewalk opposite the Myrtle Point hotel yesterday. Driver Victor Coffee could not shift gears and brakes failed, was pinned under the load, and fractured his femur. He was taken to Pemberton hospital and resting easy.

Royal Neighbors Convention Draws Large North Bend Turnout
The Royal Neighbors meeting at S O F Hall North Bend featured supreme oracle Mrs Eva Child of Janesville Wisconsin. About 50 Myrtle Point members attended with Powers Coquille Marshfield and North Bend camps represented. The event included a school of instruction a banquet a large initiation and stunts by local camps. A Myrtle Point camp member wrote a special song and Marshfield gave a birthday cake.
