Funeral services were held at Powers on March 8 1924 with Rev Lammeriin officiating and burial in Masonic cemetery Powers.

Bug boat rams bridge and breaks one span across Coos Bay
The Martha Buehner owned by Stout Lumber Co rammed the Southern Pacific Railway bridge at Coos Bay shortly after midnight last Saturday. The boat was stranded on the submerged pier but inspection found damage light. A temporary 180 foot span was built and trains resumed after Wednesday evening.
