Obituary: Mrs Lett Honored For Lifelong Faith and Family

The obituary notes Mrs Lett born April 80 1840 in Monitor county and dying after a life of Christian faith. She moved from Missouri to Oregon in 1875 then Coos county in 1881 and Rocketek forest homestead before Norway and Myrtle Point. Survived by two sons and two daughters and interred in Norway cemetery.

Body of Mr Huff Found After Wreck Near Crescent City

A body found near Crescent City is identified by clothing and a watch engraved with the initials Huff. The deceased is believed to be Mr Huff who was drowned in the Brush wreck. Huff’s widow traveled to Crescent City for the burial.

North Bend church meeting calls for Park River minister

Congregation of the Congregational church held a meeting last Tuesday evening with about 50 attendees. A call was issued for Rev. ue McGionia from Park River North Dakota to serve the church for one year starting September 1. Summer services will be in the evenings with focus on music. After adjournment, refreshments were served at the manse. The church and Sunday School planned an open air service day with North Bend on Sunday June 24.
