The Beck family of Myrtle Point survived a severe Saturday forenoon car wreck on the Resdnerg highway. Father B L Beck sustained a broken wrist while a younger daughter, 11 months old, and several others were hurt as the Ford rolled over multiple times. The car was a loaned vehicle. Beck plans to sell it for $25. The family seeks modest local aid while Beck continues work in a piling camp near Riddle.

Ladies Aid Invites Husbands for All Day Church Event

Japs Visit City En Route From Training Ship
Yesterday afternoon about 25 autos carried the cadets from the Japanese training ship now in Koos bay passed through Myrtle Point on their way to Powers. The group numbers about 80 and wore blue uniforms. The ship arrived in Coos harbor and anchored at North Bend Sunday, with Coos bay the only Oregon port touched due to lumber trade with Japan.
