Myrtle Point plans a new theatre building replacing the current Unique Theatre and Variety Store structure. Dodge has drawn plans costing 25 000 to 80 000 dollars with tours by Tourtelelle and Hasame of Portland. Elijah H Price founder of local miner dies in Powers
Elijah Henritte Price was born in Fort Smith Arkansas on September 27 1840 and died in Powers July 21 1924 at age 83 years 7 months 24 days. He came to Mule Creek on Rogue River 40 years ago took up a mining claim then moved to Ilahe for 37 years before retiring in Powers for five years. He leaves his widow Alice Isabella and seven children including Noble E Martha Elliott Frank E Henry T Price all of Powers plus Elia McFarlane Grants Pass Edna Plaint ed Brookings James Price Taft California and sister Mrs M J Jackman Oakland California. Funeral services were held July 22 1924 at Powers officiated by Elder Thomas Barklow and interment was in Norway cemetery.

Plans for a gate dam at the head of Rock Prairie on the north fork of the Coquille River aim to improve log output to tide water. Port of Coquille Plans Concrete Wall at Carlile Shoal
In a regular session the Port of Coquille voted to construct a concrete retaining wall in the middle fork of the Coquille river at Carlile Shoal.
