Bandon Man Appointed American Consul at Calcutta
Daniel Miller, longtime Bandon resident and contractor with the firm that built the First National Bank building, has been named American consul at Calcutta India. He left Bandon at the war’s start for Baltimore, then joined the army serving over a year with engineers, much of it in France. His family is among Baltimore’s prominent clans.
