On Sunday July 1 1923 Carmel Marsters of Catching Creek and J F Monroe of Tulare California were married at Mars ters Memorial Chapel Catching Creek. Rev O E Marsters performed the ceremony with Miss Nellie Mast and Miss Sadie Hamblock as maids of honor. The couple will honeymoon at Crater Lake and reside on Catching Creek after the 20th.

Emily Jane Lee daughter of Hugh and Mrs. Lee was born in Pennsylvania on August 26 1843 and died at Myrtle Point on Sunday July 1 1923 aged 8 years 10 months 5 days. Her life included a California Gold Rush move with her family and a long voyage around Cape Horn. she later married Peter Towne and spent years in California before moving to Myrtle Point. She leaves two sons Frank K Towne and Albert Towne four grandchildren a niece Mrs O H Clarke and many friends. The body was shipped to Alta California for interment.
