Mrs Jermima Hoffman 83 Dies at Middle Fork Home
Mrs Jermima Hoffman died at her home on Middle Fork on Wednesday July 2 1924 aged 83 8 26. She was born October 6 1840 in Winnipeg Canada and came to Oregon in 1841 later settling in Coos county. Survived by daughter Rachel Marquis California and son Edward L Hoffman Myrtle Point with seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services were in the Church of the Brethren with interment at Norway cemetery.

A series of minor crashes occurred in and near Myrtle Point over the past week. A Ford with license 168041 burned near Gravel Ford road. A taxi driven by Everill Songers and a Chevrolet collided near Broadbent. One wheel torn from the Chevrolet and the Ford rolled over with injuries reported but none serious. A Ford truck and a touring car were involved at the SiIe Wen 9 Ped Bridge. A wheel of the touring car was smashed and the deck damaged.

Noted Car Derails After Brake Failure
