Myrtle Point Chamber of Commerce endorses city buy of the auto park property from school district No. 41 with a fall election submission. The site, once a school parcel, has failed as a park and could enhance Myrtle Point and surrounding county fairs. County fair officials and Southern Pacific contacts show interest in filming the fair to draw larger crowds.
A Myrtle Point party aided Blanco lodge of the Masonic order in Marshfield Thursday evening to celebrate its anniversary. Third degree work preceded speeches and refreshments. Mrs Edwin Schroeder, hospitalized in Medford after a gunshot wound, is reported to be improving. Her husband says doctors drew fluid from her lung earlier in the week but the condition remains stable with normal temperature and overall good status.
