Benefit Dance Brings $100 to Henry Bryant from Modern Woodmen
The Modern Woodmen benefit dance last Saturday drew the hall’s largest crowd and sold all tickets. After expenses, $91 remained, with subscriptions topping $100 sent to Henry Bryant. A $100 Christmas gift also arrived from the lodge, raised by members. The act reflects the order’s Fraternal features amid Bryant’s year of misfortune.

Dr Clarke Loses Case on Appeal

Obituary of William a quiet husband and father
William died at 58 years old after a bout with typhoid fever. Born July 16 1873 in Clark county Ohio he moved with his family across Nebraska Oregon before settling in Myrtle Point. He married Lettie French Sept 5 1897 and leaves a widow four children two sisters and several relatives. His son serves in the U S Navy in Cavite Philippines.

County forms six market roads with 1.4 mill levy
The county court designated six roads as market roads at its last meeting and a 1.4 mill levy on all taxable property was approved. The court certified the roads to the state and asked for plans and specifications for construction. Pioneer Woman Killed by Automobile Near Jasper Store
Mrs. E. B. Holt, a Jasper district pioneer woman, was struck by a Ford near the Jasper store and killed instantly. The driver, 15 year old John Morrison, was eastbound after leaving school. Holt, 35, leaves a husband and six year old son. the couple had came from Imperial and bequeathed civic work in the district. Funeral plans await arrival of relatives.
