Charlee Samuel Jackson publisher owner of the Oregon Journal died in Portland on December 27 1924 after a long illness. Born September 15 1860 in Middlesex County Virginia he lived in Pendleton and Portland contributing to civic growth. Survived by widow son Philip grandson Sam brother M A Jackson and two sisters. Funeral services were held at Portland Crematorium.
