Diphtheria Claims Camp 3% Foreman Martin Somers

Martin Somers, logging train conductor at Camp 3%, died Sunday at Myrtle Point of diphtheria. Illness began at Camp, moved by train to Myrtle Point where a doctor diagnosed the disease and a quarantine was set. He died four days after arrival. Born November 20, 1889 in Ontario, Canada, Somers was a single man. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery Marshfield, with Father LaMiller of Bandon conducting services. he was a brother of Peter Somers of Powers.

Louise Delsman 1913 8th grader dies in Arago

Louise Delsman oldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J B Delsman of Arago died Friday after brief illness. Born Tillamook Oregon December 31 1913 she moved to Coos County in 1919 and attended Arago school. Man in Coos Inlet murder case held without bail

Robert Green, neighbor of Caleb Greene, is jailed in Coquille on murder charges. Police found clothing, a dance bell bat, and spots that appeared to be blood from the suspect's premises. Tests were completed, some garments had been washed, and a preliminary hearing is set before Justice C. E. Maybee next week.
