City council discussed piping water after two weeks with the attorney absent in Portland. R. C. Haun of Merced California paid a fine of 10 and costs in Justice E A Dodges office Monday for driving without a license. Haun was arrested by Traffic Officer W W Williams after his car passed a vehicle carrying Mrs Ed Schuman and Miss Myrtle Morris and after the latter carriage ran off the highway. The Schuman Chevrolet coupe rolled over tearing the top off.
Deputy sheriffs Hunt and Andersen made three arrests for possession at Bridge Saturday night. Harry Mullen and Percy Bean pleaded guilty in Justice EBA Dodge's office and were fined 50 dollars each. Ernest Knight pleaded innocent. trial date not yet named.
Harold Adams left the week for San Francisco to take charge of a plane he and Nick Perkins purchased. Built in Wichita Kansas the craft will be ready for delivery in the Bay City in a few days. Adams a seasoned pilot expects to join soon and together they will bring the plane to Myrtle Point for the Cops and Carry fair opening September 7.
Mrs Wilson and six children plan to rent a new house as flood victims from the lower Mississippi flee did years of disaster. Mr Wilson notes many homeless and penniless families, with Shreveport across Louisiana affected as floods back up streams and water runoff slows, creating widespread high water.

Frank B. Sagaberd age 51 longtime Gardiner boatman on the Umpqua river dies in Marshfield hospital after a week old injury while cranking a gasoline line. He worked over 30 years locally and lived in Gardiner. Funeral arrangements are pending local officials said.
