Southeast Little League Nears Fund Goal For Future Baseball

A reunion for all former confirmands of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran church at 4:30 p.m. Sunday marks the church's 50th anniversary. The Rev. Robert G. South Chicago C Of C Plans Major Overhaul
The South Chicago Chamber of Commerce approves a 12 point plan to revitalize the group, add a full time executive secretary, end fundraising drives, and raise annual dues toward about twenty thousand dollars. The plan includes parking, street and sewer improvements, stronger lobbying, expanded membership, and curbs on solicitations. The new dues schedule targets 64 firms at 100 dollars, 74 firms at 50 dollars, 200 firms at 25 dollars, and 70 at 10 dollars, with a January 1957 start.

East Side police search for Ronald Westberg, 20, in connection with the death of his cousin Dennis Freyser, 11, at 10729 S Yates Ave. The shooting occurred Tuesday in a Trumbull Park housing unit as witnesses include mother Eleanor Tarrant and stepfather Peter Tarrant.
