Kids Pool Talent to Aid Polio Fund Play
Ten children from the 81st Street and Crandon area staged a three act play titled The Do's and Don'ts of Polio in a yard at 8050 Crandon Ave. About 1000 spectators watched as the troupe dramatized risks of unhealthy environments and preventive care. Proceeds and a later collection by polio survivor Gary Walsh raised 81 dollars for the Cook County chapter of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis.
