Dr Hugh B Fox 42 of 756 E B2nd St a Southeast side figure in Rhodes Community Club and Grand Crossing Chabant Chamber of Commerce was in a serious auto crash last Sunday night near Vincennes Ave and 79th St. He was taken to St George hospital and listed improving though still in care for a week. Also injured were Mrs Karafa and her son Tony and Mrs Kozka and her daughter Emily.
J G Strader of Hyde Park Kenwood and Oakland Civil Council and Hyde Park American Legion director was chosen chairman of the South Area council of the Chicago Motor Club at the annual outing at Kiaman's Country Club. He represents the 55th Street Business Men's Association and succeeds Roy F Healy, longtime chairman. Fred L Steers of 9155 Hoyne Ave was named secretary to replace Frank Rydzewski.

Dr. Jennie A Beardsley a pioneering physician dies at 73 after a brief illness. She practiced medicine 43 years and helped found Englewood hospital while serving on Jackson Park Staff for 15 years. Survived by husband Farr A Kellander and daughter Mrs. David A Erikson.
