Students Enter Carmelite Secular Order At Mt Carmel High

Reverend Alexis E. McCarthy received 453 junior and senior students into the Third Order Secular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in a St. Clara’s church ceremony. Leaders included Rev. Maurice E. Anderson and Rev. Mario L. Dittami. The event marked the largest class to join the Carmelites, with vows to daily prayer and charity.

Mrs. Arthur C. Bachmeyer serves as president of the Household Employers league of the Chicago YWCA with address 5801 Dorchester Ave. Mrs. Leon J. Woman 77 Fatally Struck by Street Car in Chicago

Mrs. Johanna Mlinarich aged 77 died after walking into a westbound street car at 71st street in Chicago. The accident occurred Sunday evening near her home. the motorman R T Hintz was not held. Funerals and inquest followed at Cottage Grove and Oak Woods.

Burnside police investigate a 68 year old immigrant killed when he walked into the northbound James Whitcomb Riley at 82nd Street and Ellis Avenue across six tracks.
