Walter Kessens 64 died of a heart attack at his home 7731 Yates Ave Friday. Funeral services were held Monday at a chapel at 79th Street and Phillips Ave with burial at Oak Woods Cemetery. He was a Johnson and Johnson surgical supply salesman and had lived at Yates Ave 14 years. He served 25 years on Woodlawn Methodist church board, was a South Shore YMCA director, and a Mason. Surviving are his widow Nellie two sons Burnl W and John Herman and three grandchildren.

Findings to Be Released Next Week on Southeast Side Tracks
A three man committee of engineers studying how to depress the Illinois Central suburban tracks on the Southeast side is due to release findings next week. Alderman Nicholas J. Bohling and rail road attorneys said the panel, appointed January 24 by Governor Green, Mayor Kennelly, and railroad president Wayne Johnston, has examined seven solutions including underground subways and pedestrian underpasses with cost and advantage tabulations. Hearings before the Illinois Commerce Commission resumed to show cause for depression of tracks, with Bohling and Saul A. Epton noted among participants.
