Inquest Delays Bugler Death at Harney's Funeral Home

John Bugler 52 of 7812 Cornell Ave found dead in his car in a garage behind his home. Coroner's inquest at Harney's Funeral Home continued to April 8 as witnesses note long standing heart trouble and unclear cause between heart attack or carbon monoxide. Woman Fatally Struck by South Carolina Train

Grace F. Gallagher, 57, died after being struck by a train at the intersection of 71st Street and Clyde Avenue in South Carolina. The tragedy occurred in the afternoon, with authorities investigating the incident as a fatal railroad accident.

Grace F. Gallagher 57 of 7147 Jeffery Ave was struck by a westbound Illinois Central train at 71st Street and Clyde Ave and killed instantly as she tried to cross the tracks. Southeast Man Robbed by Strong-Arm Bandits

Charles Ranksley of 2408 EF 78th St. was robbed of $6 early Saturday morning as two men grabbed him while he locked a garage on Yates Avenue. They escaped on foot without speaking or showing a weapon, ransacking pockets and stabbing him. The Southeast Economist reported the incident.

Ride Victim Survives After Attempted Murder Three Charged

Joseph Giordoni survived a gunshot wound to the neck after an alleged car ambush near Tard Street and Bolmar Avenue. Three men Frank Giordani Emmanuel Frangella and Carmen Carboni were arraigned in Felony court on charges of assault with intent to kill. The hearing was continued until Giordoni recovers enough to testify. Giordoni linked the assault to a 1931 Kenosha extortion and said he confronted Giordani at his Greenwood Avenue tavern before the Saturday night attack.

Plans for stop and go signals at 87th Street and Stony Island

Plans for installing stop and go lights at 87th Street and Stony Island Avenue have been submitted to the state highway department. J I Molitor, president of the Calumet Gateway Avalon Park Civic council, cited communications from Joseph J Butler, superintendent of streets, and Oscar E Hewitt, commissioner of public works. Hewitt favored widening Stony Island Avenue between 80th and 94th Streets but said the state should undertake the project.

Tunkman Suspected of Removing Valuables

Mrs Hugh McVey of 7148 Ridgeland avenue summoned a junkman who moved an old bed but allegedly took more items. Police searched for the man as valuables including a gold watch a bar pin and several rings valued over $100 vanished from the home.

Funeral Services Held for Henry M. Letton

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Henry M. Letton age 70 of 7221 Euclid Ave. He died Thursday at home after a long illness. Letton came to Chicago over 35 years ago and worked 35 years for Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical. He was born in Merritt. Survived by his widow Mrs. Carolyn Letton and sister Mrs. Sallie Herbert of Them as Cal.
