Air Pollution Station Planned for South East Chicago

Stanley Frank chairs a supplementary $50,000 fund drive for Rodfei Sholom Oir Chodosh at 9109 S Euclid Ave to fund a new sanctuary and school. New Jackson Park Post Office Opens in Chicago Zone 37

Chicago postsmaster Carl A. Schroeder opened the Jackson Park Postal Station at 700 E 61st St with a ribbon cut. The 22 000 square foot facility serves Zone 37 from State Street to Lake Michigan and 45th Street to 7099 South, featuring eight service windows, 10-vehicle dock, air conditioning, fluorescent lighting, and modern mail handling for about 103 carriers, 20 clerks, two mail handlers and three collectors.
