Masked Bandit Robs Two Chicago Liquor Outlets
A single youthful gunman, about 20, wearing dark clothes and a handkerchief mask, robbed two nearby liquor stores in succession on a Saturday night. At Crown Wine and Liquor Distributors he extorted $85 and a diamond ring from Ben Hoffman and frightened staff and customers. Earlier, delivery worker Chester Corey was forced to surrender $17 at Tyson Liquor, near 68th Street, with the suspect described as matching the same man.
