Former Avalon Park pastor killed in Holly Michigan crash
The Rev. Frank L. Church former Avalon Park Community church pastor from 1925 to 1930 died when his car struck a Grand Trunk flyer at a railroad crossing in Holly Michigan where he was a coal merchant. A separate Southeast side collision fatally injured Woodlawn resident Joseph Moran 69 as his car hit a 93rd street car on Colfax Avenue. Moran aged 69 lived at 4523 Ingleside and died at South Chicago hospital from multiple injuries. Passengers on the street car were shaken but not hospitalized. Moran recently sold Woodlawn property to move to Florida.
