Cloonan a Checker Cab driver 28 years old of 3328 W 64th st reported to Woodlawn police he picked up two teen age Negro passengers at 63rd st and South Park ave drove several blocks when one robber put a gun to his head and demanded money. They fled after taking $18 and Cloonan said he had been robbed previously of $25 in April by two passengers.

Funeral services were held for Julian Perrin Bliss 74 a former world short distance bicycle racing champion who died Saturday of a stroke in St Luke hospital. Bliss once led racers at the 1892 World's Columbian Exposition securing the world title and later as an official at the fair's bicycle day. He later ran a men's clothing store in Denver and sold cars before returning to Chicago where he lived for 17 years.
