Memorial services for Mrs Myra A Brown mother of Rev Roeland J Brown pastor of Parkside Baptist church will be held at 4pm Sunday at the church 69th st and Harper ave. She died at her son's home 7618 Merri ave on Wednesday January 13 aged 84 buried in Manchester New Hampshire where she lived before moving to Chicago in 1922
Officers Jarvis and O'Brien chased suspects east from Cottage Grove and arrested Emil and John Ondrick, 29, at Stony Island with money, rings, and a revolver. John Ondrick died later at Illinois Central Hospital from a shoulder wound suffered in a prior jewelry-store robbery.
The St Mary High School alumnae association plans its first postwar dance at 9 p.m. next Friday in the Stevens hotel North ballroom. Del Rene and his orchestra will provide music. Woodlawn Drum and Bugle Corps will perform a drum show and Woodlawn Teen Age Canteen will present a show with music directed by Mrs Peter F Meyers.

The Grand Crossing Chatham YMCA sponsors trips to the Sportmen's show at the Coliseum on February 12. Younger children eight and under depart from the YMCA at 1 pm and return by 6 pm. older boys and girls meet at 1 pm at 77th Street and Ingle side. Arthur Rothschild arranged the plans.

Earl O. Mills of the American Institute of Planning lauded the Woodlawn plan at a Sheridan Hotel dinner launching the effort. He urged a definite action outline, noting the plan by the Chicago Plan Commission and Woodlawn committee is a major conservation effort with much work ahead.
H V Sherman of Pullman Standard Car Manufacturing told South Shore Lions at Southmoor hotel the firm plans to hire about 800 workers. He cited a large order backlog and the potential of new designs as reasons for expecting steady employment for two to three years and beyond.

Hyde Park High School will host a 8 pm graduation at 6220 Stony Island Ave with diplomas by retiring principal Joseph F. Gommelly. Among 23 honor students, Sigma Epsilon members total 33 with averages of 3.00+ from four years.
