Mrs. Harry A. Linaweaver, 38, was struck twice in the face by a dark complexioned 6 foot man at 7651 Luella Ave as she opened the door. He asked for her husband and warned he had a present for him before the assault, leaving her nose cut and eye bruised. Her 14 year old son Raymond contacted Grand Crossing police. The assailant may be the ex husband of a divorce client.

Seven Southeast side teens to face Boys' Court theft charges
Seven Southeast side teenagers accused of burglary and larceny will be tried in Boys' Court on Wednesday February 8 before Judge Joseph J. Drucker. Also charged is George Kallish a 19 year old Chicago Teachers College student facing two counts of accessory before the fact of robbery and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. Three Armed Robbers Hold Up Fair Deal Liquor Store
Three armed men robbed two clerks and two customers at the Fair Deal Liquor store on 236 E Gist St early Saturday. They escaped with 103 dollars a watch and three wallets after forcing the victims into a refrigerator. Marvin Rubin the night manager and two customers were identified among the victims. Police were alerted by Rubin who freed the victims.
