Blind War Hero Wins Prize For Artistic Display
Donald Kajawa, 23, a Bowen High graduate blinded in Korea, designed a Christmas Nativity garden in South Chicago at 8439 S Brandon Ave. His uncle and cousin helped erect the display praised by South Chicago Chamber of Commerce judges as the finest in the area. He said he does not see himself disabled and believes everyone has handicaps to overcome.
