The Chicago judiciary committee urged passage of an ordinance banning sale or possession of toy guns that resemble real weapons. Ten aldermen voted yes, one opposed. Incumbents include two Democrats seeking county reelection one Republican and two Democrats for 13th district seats and Congressman Raymond McKeough pursuing reelection. Also named are Joseph Frank for the Democratic congress bid and three Republicans Edward Finnan P H Moynihan and Emmet F Byrne in the Second District race. Woodlawn launches Eight-Month Study to map and protect property values. The project, financed by WPA funds and local contributions, will survey the area bounded by Stony Island Avenue and Cottage Grove Avenue to guide rehabilitation. A 30 member advisory board led by Frank J O'Brien will supervise the effort.
