Building Underway For 21 000 Storefronts On 71st Constance
Brick work is in progress on a 21 000 dollar single story building at the northeast corner of 71st street and Constance avenue. Architect Jacob Lewis says occupancy is expected by May 1. The structure for Jacob Abelson will front 10444 feet on 71st street and 55 feet on Constance, faced with Indiana limestone and black glazed terra cotta. Corner store will be 24 by 55 feet, other five stores 15 by 55 feet, totaling 20 feet eight inches high.

February Draft Call for Southeast Chicago Areas
The Southeast side four wards and 12 draft boards are set for a February inductee total under 400 as part of Cook County's plan to fellect up to 4 353 men. Chicago area quotas include 2 887 for the county and 1 485 carried over from January. Mrs. Rose Banish died of a heart attack Monday while riding south on a Jackson Park train. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the chapel on 6935 Stony Island Ave. She was 57, of 2225 East 70th Street, and leaves two surviving sons, Theodore and Seymour, a daughter Mrs. Shirley Fick, and a brother Mandel Abels on of Denver. No inquest was held.
