Fred L. Arnholt of 7549 Cornell avenue was assaulted near 77th street and Ridgeland avenue as part of a recent string of strong arm robberies. An unknown assailant jumped him from the back, forcing him to the ground and stealing a gold watch valued at 65 dollars, 40 dollars in cash, and a 200 dollar Board of Education check. A second man assisted, lifting his pockets.
