Elizabeth McGoorty aged 70, sister of Superior Court Judge John McGoorty, died at her home 2468 East 72nd Street after a year and a half long illness. She is survived by her brother John and three sisters Mrs. Mary Carpenter, Mrs. Anne McPartlin, and Mrs. Margaret Long.

Robert Meyers 26 of 1421 E Marquette rd was stabbed twice in the abdomen and chest by his brother in law Charles Morgan 23 of 6501 Kenwood ave during a family dispute. Meyers in fair condition after driving away and being stopped by Officer Milton Porn. Morgan admitted the assault and was arrested.
