O Keefe announces new Biloxi appointments

Mayor Jerry O Keefe announced the appointment of a new Biloxi city auditor and two planning commission members on Monday. Michael Alan Stromy a 27 year old accountant and Biloxi Jaycees president will be assistant city auditor replacing Percy Wetzell who retires Aug. 1 after 34 years as the citys longest serving employee. The Rev A A Dickey Baptist pastor and planning board chair was named to the Biloxi Planning Commission succeeding John Pettus.

Inflation can be slowed says Nixon adviser Rush

Kenneth Rush, President Nixon’s chief economic adviser, says inflation may fall below 7 percent this year and Americans will be better off. He expects no balanced federal budget in 1975 but hopes the deficit can be reduced from about $11 billion. He favors sound fiscal policy to protect against inflation and production growth.
