George G Ayers machinist's mate second class US Navy aboard destroyer Norfolk in the Atlantic Fleet. He is the son of Guy E Ayers and husband of Imogene Crawley of Imperial Beach California. He reported aboard Norfolk April 20 from North Island Naval Air Station San Diego. Jay R Zerfoss ensign son of Mr and Mrs James Zerfoss of Somerset serves with air borne early warning squadron two of the U S Sixth Fleet. The detachment left Patuxent River Maryland April 22 and will operate with the Mediterranean based unit flying Super Constellation aircraft until early June.
