Captain Thomas F. Darcy Jr., longtime conductor of the United States Army Band from 1935 to 1946, died early Sunday at Somerset Community Hospital from injuries in a one car crash near the Somerset County Children’s Aid Home. He was a resident of 238 East Race Street and likely to be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
