Five Mysterious Boxes Enter Court Martial Session
At Hershey Pennsylvania five boxes appeared at the Willard J. Stanton court martial. A leather case and a taped recorder were shown after hours of cross examination of Acting State Police Commissioner Paul Rittelmann. The defense move surprised prosecutors and the court. Rep Ronald Lench and Rep William Curwood testified or were scheduled to appear as investigators pursued wiretapping questions. The prosecution planned to rest Thursday but the proceedings closed amid the box disclosures. The court martial was set to reconvene Friday at 10 a.m.
