Day-tona Beach Couple Hears Son Alive After 20 Years
An elderly Daytona Beach couple learned their son, Shannon Hardee, may be alive after a 1939 disappearance at sea. A postcard from Captain Udet claimed the submarine found him and two companions, took them to Murmansk and Siberia, and that he would return. The 87 year old father and his wife say no direct word has come from their son, who was 38 and missing since Thanksgiving Day 1939.
