A 10 year old Friedens grade school student Frank Troy was struck by a car on Route 53 near Friedens while crossing after signals. He suffered burns to the forehead chin and left wrist a chin laceration and a hip injury. Dr. Lerner 24 of Pittsburgh stopped and moved him to Somerset Community Hospital. Police said the boy darted into traffic and state police will not prosecute the driver.
