Pair Draws Jail Terms and Other Cases
Judge Norman T. Boose handed down two major jail terms in the sentence and domestic relations court on Saturday. Harry Livengood of Central City received six months to a year for larceny after allegedly stealing a Windber car for a joy ride, leading to a police chase in Johnstown before surrendering. Arthur Henry of Jenner Township drew six months in jail plus a $200 fine and costs for a serious morality offense, with ties to Pearl Crissey of Jerome who did not appear for sentencing. Karla of Jenners admitted larceny of a $25 tarpaulin from Little Valley Coal, was ordered to restitute its value and placed on three years probation. Frank Weinert, a 65 year old vagabond, was ordered returned to county jail pending Allegheny county word after breaking a large plate glass window in the Miller building.
